Interactive browser game
Word Grid 3D
A word game with another dimension.
Word Grid 3D reimagines a familiar word puzzle as a tactile three-dimensional experience. Designed to play in a browser across devices, it combines daily challenges, personal progression and live online competition — with privacy built into the approach.

The experience
A puzzle you can almost touch.
At the heart of Word Grid 3D is a 4×4 letter grid presented as a slate suspended in space. It responds to the player's touch and movements, bringing a distinctly physical feel to finding words and tracing paths through the letters.
The game is available through an ordinary web browser, without a separate app installation or conventional account registration. My aim was to make the interaction inviting and responsive whether someone is solving a quick puzzle or returning regularly.

Daily play & competition
A reason to return. A way to compete.
A new challenge provides a daily reason to play, while an archive of around 250 unique puzzles offers more to discover. Solving streaks reward regular play, with a Hall of Fame recognising players who have maintained the longest consecutive daily runs.
Players can also challenge friends to beat their time or compete in live online PvP. In a duel, both players interact with the puzzle in real time, bringing the same tactile experience into a shared contest.

Behind the build
Making interaction feel immediate.
Word Grid 3D combines React and TypeScript with Three.js and WebGL to give the letter slate its interactive, three-dimensional form. The interface needs to feel natural across touch and pointer devices while keeping word solving clear and responsive.
Behind the experience, Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects and WebSockets provide the architecture for online connected play, with Cloudflare's data and delivery services supporting puzzles and progression. The technical choices serve a simple goal: an engaging browser game that is easy to reach, enjoyable to interact with and able to bring players together.
