One News Page is an independent news service I've reimagined as a news-intelligence platform — connecting reporting from established publishers into developing stories and helping readers understand what has changed, what matters and where things stand.

Rethinking a news service for a new era.
I founded One News Page in 2008 as a news and news-video aggregation service. It grew into a widely visited destination with an extensive searchable archive. For years, helping people discover reporting from many publishers was a successful proposition.
But the news landscape changed. As questions of trust, source credibility and information overload grew, simply collecting and indexing headlines was no longer enough. In July 2026, I decided to rethink the service from the ground up: not merely modernising the technology, but defining a more useful role for the product itself.
The new direction was to connect reporting into continuing stories, make sources visible and help readers understand developments in context. That strategic choice shaped the editorial model, interface and engineering that followed.

News develops over time. A new report changes what is known, different publishers contribute evidence and unanswered questions remain. One News Page is designed to help readers follow that progression rather than treating each headline as an isolated item.
Discovery, Events and story dossiers bring together coverage, material developments, source attribution and earlier context. The aim is straightforward: a clearer view of what is happening and why it matters.

Engineering an evolving live platform.
Turning that direction into a working product required more than a new website. I designed the editorial experience and built a distributed system that gathers source reporting, connects related coverage, identifies meaningful developments and prepares structured news output for publication.
The platform uses Astro and Cloudflare services, including Workers, durable data storage and media delivery, alongside bounded AI-assisted editorial workflows and evidence checks. Publication and operational controls are designed to keep output traceable and the live service observable.
The work continues beyond launch: refining the reader experience, improving the intelligence behind continuing stories and maintaining a dependable service as news and user needs evolve.
